A Thank You Note
I want to thank you for visiting the Furious Garden. My name is Ryan and I am an avid collector and enthusiast of all things plants. I started with bonsai tree work years ago before branching out (Yeah, that pun sucked) into carnivorous plants. It wasn't long before it swarfed my original hobby and I started trying to collect every type I could find. Since then, I've grown countless carnivores but I still find myself messing with the little trees. I may put up a few "pre-bonsai" trees for sale for those That are interested in them.
While this is a store, I hope to make this site so much more. I'm a web developer (in training you could say) and I have dreams of making this site into a hub for growers to share, trade, and connect with others who share the same passion. I'm currently looking into different ways to facilitate that. There's something magic in the experience of trading and sharing. I have met some great people and the community overall is very helpful and welcoming and without them, I wouldn't have had many of the great experiences I've had growing.
I hope to have this site become a resource for beginners to learn about the plants they purchase or own via references and my own experiences with them. All plants are different and a lot of the problems people encounter are due to bad information or lack of resources. I hope to change that. That's an ambitious project in its own right and that will certainly take time. I hope to have tutorial videos, articles, salvage guides, and more. While that part can't be seen, I've been building a database behind the scenes and when things are wrapped up I will direct my attention to this in earnest.
So back on the hustle real quick: When I grow plants, I treat them all as my own regardless of whether they're to be sold or not. I take extra steps to keep them as healthy as possible and I ship them with the same care. I like to believe thats reflected in the quality of my 'products' but really I just want the people who buy something from me to have a good experience.
